Neuropsychology and Technology as Forms of Learning

Since I was a little kid I was extremely fascinated by the intricate design, functionality, and application of the computer. In 1995 I enrolled in a technology oriented K-12 school in which technology was used as a tool to enhance learning. People that knew me at this time can attest to the fact that I was extremely focused on the implementation and integration of technology and ultimately with, as I can clearly see now, life.

Subsequently I continued to improve my technology skills by attending the Art Institute of Dallas in 2000. Again, my fascination for technology and knowledge of its utilization was enhanced. During my initial months at The Art Institute of Dallas, I fortunately was given the opportunity to work in an Ad Agency as an intern. The agency quickly noticed the potential of my business success – which essentially at the time was a passion for the utilization of technology within Reality – and moved me up the responsibility latter within their organization to Director of Internet Marketing Services upon completion of my associates’ degree in 2002.

I continued to work for the agency through the recontextualization experience, yet at the end of 2003 and beginning of 2004 I had lost all motivation for increasing my knowledge of technology. I found that my inner creative and artistic talents were somewhat being manipulated for the success and ultimately the profits of the company. Soon thereafter, I decided that I wanted to go back to school so I dropped the agency position and started to work freelance with my own clients (including my old agency), my mother's projects, my own, etc. Also in 03-04 I started to capture and log information about Enlightenment and the recontextualization as expressed through full circle awareness as the Mind wrapped around realization.

It was not until the beginning of 2005 that I realized I wanted to study, from an academic perspective, this thing we call life including: consciousness, the mind, reality, God, etc. So at the end of 2005 I enrolled at The University of Texas at Dallas majoring in psychology and minoring in child development, which was later changed to neuroscience.

I am currently at UTD studying neurophysiology with regards to psychological topics. What I have found is the passion and inner motivation that was once with technology is now focused on neuroscience and psychology. What I find mind-boggling and most phenomenal is the structure and processes in which the body operates. I thought technology was advanced until I started studying the neuronal networks of the human body, which makes technology look elementary. Nevertheless, my focus and energy have been directed to neuropsychology and probably will continue to do so through graduate school.
