Love is something that you see - it is not something that you receive or gain. Love is an ever-present source of fluid energy that seems to be interpreted via the emotional layer of the human body.

When two people are “in love” with each other or have “fallen” in love, they have merely moved into a receptive (metaphorically speaking) state of openness in which they (separately) have allowed their awareness (via the Mind) to wrap around the realization of energy manifested as Love.

This is somewhat confusing to the Mind because the Mind is merely interpreting the feeling nature of energy from the emotional body. The Mind applies reason and connects the layer of Love to perception (i.e. oh I love my mom more than my neighbor, or I love my wife more than any of my previous girlfriends.)

The true nature of Love is analogous to realizing that oxygen to the human is everywhere.
